The FuturEscolas Project involves creating space for sustainable and pedagogic/educational school gardens in which students use environmentally sustainable practices in waste treatment such as vermicomposting.

So, this Project presents itself as teaching and learning methods, where you learn by playing. It is a project that intends not only to foster a greater student-teacher, teacher-student and student-student interaction in a relaxed environment, but it also intends to reach out to families and promote their active participation in the development of the project.
By helping the student engage in vermicomposting activities, you are at the same time, enabling the student to be in contact with all soil forming organisms, promoting environmental friendly practices and increasing food quality.
